Parkinson Disease(PD) is the second most common progressive neurodegenerative disease, which is characterized by tremor, bradykinesia, rigidity, with postural instability. The is aim to study these patients. In which observed many problems faced by these people and their caregiver. In which it has found that patient feel discomfort in eating. This thesis presents the solution to this problem in the form of a set of prototype assistive products, which will help them to eat independently without any fear.
For this ergonomic and various special conditions considered and further design are
developed. The main problem faced by these patients was eating due to rigidity and tremor in hands, which gets worse over a period of time. Primary research is carried out with neurosurgeons, physiotherapist, patients and their caregiver to validate the design directions and criticism. The motive of the study was to make their daily life self-dependent. The product will help them to do their task with less effort the product made to keep affordability in mind as per primary research conducted. The study can be used for further future design directions.
